GARDEN GOODS: A TRADING APP

Team: Macall, Jeremy, Christian

Goal: Develop an app user-centered & designed to address a community need: reducing waste & ‘expanding’ gardens by providing a platform where local backyard gardeners can trade/sell/purchase surplus homegrown goods.

Role: UX researcher, user persona, interviewing & surveying,  ideation, user flow creation, journey map, SWOT analysis,  sketching, wireframing, prototyping, usability testing, content edits, iteration, Google Slides presentation.

TOSA: A REDESIGN

Team: Macall, Adriana, Jeremy, Kevin

Goal: Redesign the non-profit TOSA’s website, which helps recently incarcerated individuals rebuild their lives. Their website is confusing, overwhelming and fails to effectively communicate the  impact of donor contributions or eligibility. Check out how we made that journey more accessible and intuitive through thoughtful design.

PET’S DAY OUT: A SERVICE APP

Team: Macall & Adriana

Goal: Pet’s Day Out is a mobile app that connects animal lovers with local shelters, allowing people to take adoptable pets out for a fun day of adventure. The app helps socialize shelter animals, gives them valuable outdoor time, and increases their chances of adoption — while offering volunteers the joy of spending time with a furry friend, even if they can’t have a pet of their own.

Role: Identify the problem, conduct market research, user persona, problem statement, develop a hypothesis, user interviews, user flows, sketches, create information architecture, design low-fidelity wireframes, test low-fidelity wireframes, iterate based on feedback, develop mid-fidelity wireframes, conduct user interviews, design high-fidelity wireframes, create interactive prototypes, conduct usability testing, collect user feedback, iterate and refine designs, finalize high-fidelity designs, ensure accessibility standards, Google Slides presentation.
